WHAT IS INDOOR LASER TAG AT LASER EXPEDITION?

Laser tag is the high-tech version of the classic game of tag with a twist of Egyptian adventure for players ages 6 and up. Players wear a light-weight vest and carry a futuristic phaser to "tag" opponents with a visible laser light beam and score points.

vest and phaser The game is played in our Egyptian-themed arena which is divided into two sections - the oasis and the distant pyramid. The object of the game is to get the most points by hitting the sensors on your opponents' vests with your phaser. At the end of the game, each player gets a computer-generated scorecard that shows his or her score, hit-to-shot ratio, hits from and to each player and team score, if applicable.

HOW DO YOU PLAY?

briefing room

In the briefing room just before the game starts, you will receive instructions on game rules and how to play. The rules are:

  • No running, climbing or jumping.
  • No sitting, kneeling or lying down.
  • No physical contact.
  • No offensive language
  • No covering opponents' sensors
From the briefing room you will be guided into the vesting room. There you will be given instructions on how to put on the vest and use the phaser. The staff will activate your phaser and send you on your way into the arena where your game will begin. Lighting effects and music create an awesome heart-pounding, adrenaline-pumping atmosphere.

To score, aim your laser beam at the lights on your opponents' vests and tag them. Once tagged, they will be deactivated and cannot tag or be tagged by another opponent for 5 seconds. Beware, after 5 seconds they will be back in the game looking for you!

During the game, staff will supervise play in the arena to maintain the quality and safety of the game and help if you have any questions.

WHAT TYPES OF GAMES CAN WE PLAY?

For the general public we offer individual games, team games and the Invisible Mummy game. Other games and variations are available for special groups and private events.

Individual - It's every person for himself/herself in this free for all game.

Team - The group will be split into 2 teams. Each team will have a home base to defend with an interactive device that shoots intruders and can be shot by intruders as well. Teams are encouraged to work together and develop a strategy that will allow their team to gain the most points. Team scores as well as individual scores will be recorded on the scoresheet at the end of the game.

Invisible Mummy - Select someone to be the "Invisible Mummy". This player will wear a shirt over their vest and a hood over their head, making them virtually "invisible" in the arena. The object of the game is to avoid being tagged by the invisible mummy who is immune to your attempts to tag him or her.
